KATHARSIS – Cover artwork & track listing

This is it, metalheads! Below we have more details about our  second album, “KATHARSIS”, which will be self-released mid-2013. The CD will be produced, mixed and mastered at Antfarm Studio in Aarhus, Denmark by Tue Madsen, who has previously worked with HALFORD, DARK TRANQUILLITY, VADER, BEHEMOTH and KATAKLYSM, among others.

The “KATHARSIS” digipack cover artwork can be seen below. It was signed by the french designer Stan W Decker, who has previously worked with TIMMO TOLKKI and also had some of his arts published by MEGADETH in their official website.

Commented guitarist Lucas Bagatella: “The album’s title refers to the catharsis under a psycological optic. This is a very used term in many different contexts, like religion and arts. Our ideia is an allusion to an emocional collapse which results in renewal and liberation, a change of the point of view.”

Commented guitarist Lúcio Nunes: “Our approach of the concept is explicit in the cover artwork. It exposes the inner hell of the one who experiences the tragedy. It contextualizes the suffering that corrupts and shatters the human being. The ideia is to materialize a break of paradigm in that artwork and I believe that Stan did it perfectly.”

This song was produced by Tue Madsen (HALFORD, SUICIDE SILENCE, VADER) in Aarhus, Denmark and the video by Agência Soluciona in Itapira, Brazil.  We wanted to release this new song with a music video. We had a lot of different ideas and we decided to have something more creative this time. We wanted something that would bring the spectator into the video through our eyes.

Tue Madsen will produce our new single, “Overcome”

This is it metalheads, we are going to have our new single “Overcome” produced at Antfarm Studio by Tue Madsen in Aarhus, Denmark. He is one of the main Heavy Metal producers nowadays and already worked with Suicide Silence, Dark Tranquility, Vader, Behemoth, Kataklysm, Rob Halford, Heaven Shall Burn and many others.

This production is expected for January 2013 and it will debut Skeeter in the studio as our new front-man. We looked for and analyzed a lot of producers all over the globe. It was a difficult choice because there is a lot of talented people out there. We believe we have taken the right decision and we are quite positive that we’re going to have a high quality material in hands!

We are currently working on the compositions that are going to be on KATHARSIS, studio album that will suceed the debut PRAY FOR THE DEAD. The full length is foreseen for the second semester of 2013 and its cover artwork will be revealed soon.

Recording sessions of the new single “Overcome” were concluded

Greetings, Thrashers! We have completed the recording sessions of our new single, titled “Overcome” which will be released in January 2013, along with a music video.

We are producing each stage in an extremely carefully way. Soon we are going to reveal the name responsible for mixing and mastering this new material.

This new single will be in our 2nd studio album, named “Katharsis”. The cover artwork is going to be signed again by the French artist Stan W-Decker, he is the same guy behind “Pray For The Dead” illustrations.
